Your Street Project

Pompey in the Community’s Your Street Project is funded by the Hampshire Police & Crime Commissioner. The project’s aim is to use diversionary early intervention activities and targeted interventions with the aim of reducing Anti-Social Behaviour and positively engaging those at risk or involved in the Youth Justice System. We work in partnership with local agencies to contribute towards the Police and Crime Plan through two priorities areas:

• Working together to reduce Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour in your Community
• Reduce Re-Offending

The project delivers a number of sports activities primarily in Bransbury Park to reduce anti-social behavior and criminality.

Girl’s football for 9-19 year olds
A range of Boys Football for 9-11 year olds, 12-14 year olds and 14-16 year olds
Targeted Football for 15-19 year olds
Boxercise for 9-16 year olds

The project also works closely with a number of local secondary schools to offer a School Inclusion provision that is aimed at pupils as an early intervention measure.
