Bluesability is a vibrant social group catering to individuals aged 18 and above with additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Bluesability promotes healthy living through engaging in activities to enhance physical and mental well-being.

Activities

Bluesability offers diverse activities to promote healthy living and foster a sense of Community among participants. Some of the activities include:

Healthy Cooking

Learn to prepare nutritious and delicious meals under the guidance of our experienced chefs.

Boxing

Get your heart pumping and build strength and stamina through fun and engaging boxing sessions

Football

Enjoy friendly matches and skill-building exercises on the pitch, promoting teamwork and physical fitness.

Pompey Pedals

Explore the city and enjoy the fresh air with leisurely bike rides organised through Pompey Pedals.

Walks

Take in the scenic beauty of Portsmouth with group walks that promote physical activity and social interaction.

Museum Visits

Expand your horizons and explore local history and culture through visits to museums and cultural institutions.

Join us every Thursday from 10 am to 12 pm at Pompey in the Community on Anson Road. Our welcoming space provides the perfect setting for fun and engaging activities to promote healthy living and foster a sense of belonging within the Community.

Pompey Pedals

Pompey Pedals is Pompey in the Community’s (PitC) inclusive cycling project, which provides quality cycling activities for adults and children with disabilities and differing needs. Pompey Pedals aims to engage participants in socially, physically, and mentally stimulating cycling experiences. Our project enables mixed groups and families to enjoy cycling together using regular and specially adapted bikes and equipment, all provided free of charge.

Locations and Schedule

Participants can access specially adapted bikes and equipment at two sites in Portsmouth:

  • Bransbury Park: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:15 am to 12:30 pm.
  • Mountbatten Centre: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm.

Junior Pan Disability Football

Junior Pan Disability Football offers a complimentary football session for individuals aged 6 to 16 with additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As part of the PL Kicks project, this initiative is provided free of charge to all participants.

Description

Junior Pan: Disability Football provides a supportive and inclusive environment for children to experience the joy of football. Led by dedicated coaches, this session caters to participants of all abilities, from beginners to experienced players.

Adult Pan Disability Football

Adult Pan: Disability Football is an all-inclusive football session designed to accommodate the individual needs of all participants. Our program features two teams: the competitive team and the participation team. Both teams represent Pompey in the Community at the Eastleigh Football Club Community Trust (EFCCT) Pan Disability League, participating in monthly fixtures.

Teams

  • Competitive Team: For those seeking a competitive edge and higher-level play.
  • Participation Team: Catering to participants who prefer a more relaxed and recreational approach to the game.

League Participation

Both teams proudly represent Pompey in the Community at the EFCCT Pan Disability League, competing in monthly fixtures. These leagues allow players to showcase their skills and enjoy the thrill of competitive football in an inclusive environment.

Weekly Sessions

Join us at our weekly sessions at John Jenkins Stadium. Sessions take place every Tuesday from 5 pm to 6 pm
