Introducing our brand-new holiday course structure for 2026/27
We’re introducing a brand-new holiday course structure, designed to give players more focused coaching, more opportunities to compete and a better overall football experience. With new course formats, themes and challenges, there’s now more ways than ever to play, develop and enjoy your football during the holidays.
What’s Changing?
We’re changing the way our holiday courses work.
From September 2026, our holiday programme has been redesigned to give players more structure, more variety and more opportunities to play, develop and compete.
Courses, not individual days:
Players now book a complete course experience rather than individual days.
Choose from:
– 2-Day Holiday Courses (Monday & Tuesday)
– World Cup Wednesdays
– 2-Day Holiday Courses (Thursday & Friday)
One Day Course
Our only standalone 1-day course. A full day built around challenges, 1v1s, small-sided games and a World Cup-style tournament.
Two Day Course
Our main holiday course experience. Players book the complete Monday & Tuesday or Thursday & Friday course, with a different theme each day and a mix of coaching, games and competition.
5 Day Special (Summer Only)
Our extended holiday experience, bringing five days of football, development, competition and fun together in one complete course.
Player Visits
In addition to our comprehensive coaching sessions, participants have the exclusive opportunity to interact with professional players from the Portsmouth Football Club. These player visits offer invaluable insights into professional football, inspiring young players to pursue their dreams with dedication and passion.
Nelson’s Future Blues | Football for Ages 3 – 5
Nelson’s Future Blues is the perfect introduction to football for your little one! Designed for children aged 3 to 5, these fun and engaging sessions run during the school holidays and focus on building confidence, coordination, and a love for the game — all in a safe and supportive environment. Held at the John Jenkins Stadium in Portsmouth, it’s the ideal first step on your child’s football journey with Pompey in the Community.
When do the courses run?
We run holiday activities in each of the school holidays throughout the year.
- October half-term (one week)
- Christmas and New Year half-term (usually 3 days depending on the bank holidays)
- February half-term (one week)
- Easter half-term (two weeks)
- Summer holidays (six weeks)

Our football holiday courses are conveniently held in different locations:
- The John Jenkins Stadium, Moneyfields Avenue, Portsmouth PO3 6LA
- Bayhouse School, Gosport
- Purbrook Park School
- Chichester High School
- Bedales School

Free Sessions
HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Provision
In partnership with Portsmouth City Council, Pompey in the Community is pleased to offer HAF sessions as part of our holiday activities. Ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals during their time with us, we prioritise their well-being both on and off the pitch. Our HAF provision aims to support families on means-tested benefits in our Community by providing a wholesome and nurturing environment for children to learn, play, and grow.
This year, we worked with our Pompey Community Partners Utilita Energy and EFL and EFL Trust partners Smart Energy GB to provide families with information packs on how to reduce their energy bills and access support where needed.

Junior PAN Disability Multi-Sports
With help from funding from the Premier League Charitable Fund, we’re able to run some of our PAN Disability football and multi-sports sessions for free. We want to ensure everyone can access physical activity and opportunities to grow their social and emotional development, which is exactly what our talented and experienced staff offer.
