It’s been a week of fun, football, and friendship as Pompey in the Community’s half-term holiday courses took over Bayhouse School (Gosport), Chichester College, the John Jenkins Stadium (Portsmouth), and Petersfield School — with many young people getting active, trying new skills, and making memories.

From girls-only sessions at John Jenkins Stadium to SEND-inclusive activities, and specialist goalkeeping sessions, this week’s activities brought high energy and high impact to children of all abilities.

With the success of half-term nearly wrapped up, attention now turns to summer, where an even bigger programme is set to run across Bayhouse, Chichester, John Jenkins Stadium, and Petersfield throughout the school break.

These paid courses not only provide safe, structured fun for children during the holidays — they also help support the charity’s wider mission, to keep kids active and engaged through sport!

To go even further, Pompey in the Community is also calling on the community to get involved in two key summer fundraising events. Join us for the charity golf day or charity gala!

Every swing, every ticket, and every donation helps expand the charity’s reach to young people and families who need it most.

Spaces for summer courses — and tickets for the fundraising events — are now live and filling fast.
