Pompey in the Community Girls Development Programme enjoyed a special off-pitch occasion this week as players took part in their annual Media Evening, celebrating the talent, teamwork, and growth of the squads. 

The event gave every player the chance to step into the spotlight, with individual headshots taken in a professional photoshoot setting. The images will be used throughout the season for score updates, graphics, and matchday coverage, helping bring more visibility to the players across Pompey in the Community channels. Each player will also receive their photos as a lasting memory of their journey through the programme. 

Adding to the excitement, a group of selected players took part in creating a TikTok, showcasing their personalities, energy, and the spirit of the programme. The fun recording brought plenty of laughter and team bonding, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the programme’s next generation of talent. 

The Media Evening is an important part of the wider development experience, helping players grow both on and off the pitch. Boosting confidence, encouraging professionalism, and celebrating their belonging within the Pompey family. 

With their new media profiles ready to go, the squad look ahead to the rest of the season motivated and proud to represent Pompey.
