A total of 125 girls took part in a memorable Pompey Women’s Holiday Course hosted at the John Jenkins Stadium this week, enjoying a day designed to inspire, develop and celebrate the next generation of female footballers.

The course was delivered by Pompey in the Community in partnership with Portsmouth F.C. Women, with additional participants attending from 360 Sports Education.

The day began with the girls registering through the stadium’s main gate before taking their seats in the stands to watch the Pompey Women First Team train. Seeing the players prepare up close provided a powerful and motivating start to the experience!

Following the session, the girls were split into six age-appropriate groups for a structured post-training meet and greet. This allowed every participant the opportunity to ask questions, receive autographs and collect a signed photo, while ensuring the experience remained personal to our participants

The afternoon programme saw each group rotate through a variety of football activities, including small-sided games, competitive challenges and penalty shootouts. Later in the day, players and First Team staff delivered a series of fun, engaging sessions across six activity stations, with groups rotating every 15 minutes.

The course not only provided high-quality football development but also created lasting memories for the girls involved. The energy throughout the stadium was a reflection of the growing enthusiasm around the women’s game in Portsmouth.

A huge thank you goes to all players, coaches and staff who supported the day and helped make it such a success.

With 125 girls leaving inspired and smiling 💙⚽
