The EFL Week of Action sees clubs and their community organisations from across the EFL’s three divisions showcase the impact of community projects with management staff and players joining participants across the country.

One of our amazing projects that we have highlighted is our Adult Disability Football group who meet every Thursday at John Jenkins Stadium. Last week we celebrated Aaron Tree, a budding goalkeeper who has been a part of Pompey in the Community since he was 10 years old.

On a visit to the Portsmouth FC training ground, Aaron had an unforgettable experience with a session with Will Norris, Nico Schmid, Jordan Archer, and members of the goalkeeping department.

Aaron’s dad, Barry, said “Aaron’s been coming to disability football from the juniors, from about the age of 10 up until now. He moved to adults three years ago, in 2021, which was a big step up, but he really enjoys it all and the weekly sessions and the monthly disabled competitions that they do.”

Aaron rated the day 10 out of 10 so a big thank you to everyone and Pompey and PitC who made it happen.
