This summer, Pompey in the Community is inviting passionate chefs, home cooks, and food enthusiasts to volunteer their time and talent to help local children discover the joys of cooking—and the importance of nutritious, delicious food.
We’re running a series of themed cooking sessions during the summer holidays, designed especially for children who may not otherwise have access to healthy meals or the opportunity to learn basic cooking skills. These sessions will not only provide vital nourishment but also aim to inspire a lifelong love of food and confidence in the kitchen.
👩🍳 Could you lead a cooking session featuring British, Indian, Italian, or other world cuisines?
👨🍳 Are you a local chef or restaurant owner who could offer a hands-on culinary experience for kids?
Whether you’re a professional chef, a gifted home cook, or someone with a passion for teaching and food, we’d love to have you on board. You don’t have to go it alone—our experienced cooking tutor will be there to support every step of the way. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and expertise.
