Pompey in the Community’s STEAM holiday courses are well underway, and this week, young participants turned up the creativity by designing and making their very own bucket hats.

Delivered in partnership with Portsmouth City Council, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) programme offers a unique blend of hands-on learning, creative exploration, and football-themed fun. The bucket hat activity was a particular hit, allowing children to express their individuality while learning practical design skills.

But it’s not just about arts and crafts. Each day is packed with exciting activities—from engaging science experiments and games to exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Fratton Park. The programme is designed to help children explore new interests, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills in a fun and supportive environment.

There’s still time to get involved, with limited spaces remaining for upcoming sessions. Whether your child loves football, science, art, or all of the above, there’s something for everyone at Pompey in the Community this summer.
