Pompey in the Community is delighted to announce that four talented young footballers have successfully earned their places in our Junior Premier League (JPL) squads after impressing during recent trials, following their involvement in other programmes across the footballing department of the charity.
Three of the players – Robin Max, and Arthur, progressed through our Advanced Training Centre (ATC) programme at the John Jenkins Stadium before showcasing their development at the JPL trials. Their consistent effort, attitude, and technical growth within the ATC were clear to see, and they’ve now been selected to represent us in the U8’s and U12’s JPL squads.
Joining them is Elliott, who is a participant on our Petersfield Holiday Course. After catching the attention of our coaches with his performances and work ethic, he also came to trial – and rose to the challenge brilliantly, earning a well-deserved place in our U10 JPL team.
This is exactly what Pompey in the Community is all about, identifying and nurturing local talent, providing opportunities, and helping young players reach the next stage in their football journey.
We’re excited to see how these boys continue to grow and develop within our JPL squads. Congratulations to all four – we are so proud of you all!
