About John Jenkins

Named after D-Day veteran and life-long Pompey fan, the John Jenkins Stadium will become a central hub for the people of Portsmouth, where they can train, learn, play and most importantly, belong and grow. The John Jenkins Stadium is our new sports facility and community hub in the middle of the city.

Clare Martin, CEO of Pompey in the Community said:

“John Jenkins was a massive friend of Pompey in the Community. From volunteering at the football club from a young age and stewarding the boardroom until his later days to dropping in with homebaked goods and being my plus 1 to our end of season dinners, he was the biggest Pompey fan. He was a huge part of our city so we wanted to recognise all he did for us and all that he meant to us by naming the stadium after him.”

Pompey in the Community have raised and invested over £8.4 million in this project to date. However, rising construction costs and unpredictable expenses have brought us close to needing near to £1 million to bring this project to completion for the entire community to enjoy.  We’re looking for businesses in construction servics, fit out and furniture supplies to help us with the final stages.

Contact [email protected] if you’re able to help.
