Pompey in the Community is proud to celebrate an exciting milestone as a group of talented players from our Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) have progressed into the prestigious Junior Premier League (JPL).

This achievement marks a significant step forward in the players’ development journeys and highlights the success of our ETC programme in preparing young female footballers for the next level. The ETC provides high-quality coaching, competitive fixtures, and a supportive environment that nurtures technical ability, tactical understanding, and a strong mindset — all key ingredients for progression into elite-level football.

The JPL is one of the UK’s top youth development leagues, offering a challenging platform where players compete against high-calibre opposition from across the country. For our ETC girls, this move represents a fantastic opportunity to test themselves in a more demanding environment, continue their growth, and potentially open doors to further advancement in the female football pathway.

“I’m proud of the amount of young talent coming through our pathway—whether that’s on the pitch or in an educational setting.” – Kirtsy Pearce

As we continue to grow our girls’ football programmes, success stories like this are a testament to the impact of our player development model — and the bright future of women’s football in Portsmouth.
