Let’s share something amazing happening in the Pompey in the Community family.
One of our dads, Kyle, is taking on an incredible cycling challenge to give back to the club after everything it has given his daughter over the past six years.
Kyle explains just how much we have meant to his family:
“PitC has given my daughter 6 fantastic years of playing football and making memories that will last a lifetime.”
Now, he wants to help ensure other children can have the same opportunities.
“There are lots of children whose parents can’t afford to give them the opportunity to play for this great club, so we really want to help out. We would love to give a child (hopefully more than one) the chance to make the same memories.”
To support that aim, Kyle will be setting off on a huge endurance challenge in May 2026. He will cycle from Fratton Park to P.I.T.C’s annual football tournament in Holland — a journey of approximately 280 miles, departing on 20/05/2026 and aiming to arrive on the evening of 21/05/2026.
Before the main challenge even begins, Kyle has already started putting in the effort. As part of his training, he completed a long ride to Brighton on Friday, helping to build fitness and prepare for the demanding journey ahead.
The challenge is not just about distance, it’s about giving back to a club that supports so many young players and helps create lasting memories through football.
Kyle’s efforts are a fantastic example of the Pompey in the Community spirit: dedication, generosity, and a commitment to helping every child have the chance to play the game they love.
More updates on Kyle’s journey will be shared soon, you can support him below!
