A Pompey in the Community BTEC student has reached a major milestone after being selected to represent England in international beach soccer.
Layla Morgan has made her debut for the England Women’s Beach Soccer team and is currently competing in EBSL Spain 2026 – Division A, a key stage of the Euro Beach Soccer League featuring some of Europe’s top national teams.
The tournament represents one of the highest levels of competition in the sport, bringing together elite players from across the continent. Layla’s selection is a significant achievement and reflects her continued development, commitment, and hard work both on and off the pitch.
As part of the Pompey in the Community BTEC programme, she has balanced her academic studies alongside her sporting progression, making her international debut an especially proud moment for all involved.
Everyone at Pompey in the Community congratulates Layla on this outstanding achievement and wishes her every success as she continues to represent England on the European stage.
