Since the start of the 2025 academic year, we’ve been proud to support St Georges Beneficial C of E Primary School as one of our Premier League Primary Stars partner schools. Through this partnership, we’ve been working closely with staff and pupils to deliver engaging sessions that inspire learning, teamwork, and wellbeing through the power of sport.
Working alongside our Joint Coordinator Patrice Link, the partnership has supported the school in several key areas this term. Teachers have benefited from (CPD) in PE delivery, enhancing their skills and confidence in providing high-quality physical education.
A major highlight has been the launch of a new, free girls-only football lunch club, encouraging more girls to get involved in the game following the Lionesses’ incredible success during the summer of 2025. The club has already seen enthusiastic participation, promoting confidence, teamwork, and fun on the pitch.
In addition, our team has been delivering sessions with Year 6 classes, Sharks and Whales, exploring important topics around friendship and self-esteem. These lessons aim to help pupils build positive relationships, resilience, and a sense of respect for one another.
“It’s been a great start to the academic year with St George’s,” said Patrice Link, Joint Coordinator for Premier League Primary Stars. “The school has been excellent with their organisation and communication, and our Year 6 pupils have shown wonderful attitudes towards building relationships and showing respect for others.”
The partnership continues to go from strength to strength, showcasing how sport and education can work hand-in-hand to support the next generation in developing both on and off the pitch.
Premier League Primary Stars is the Premier League’s primary school education programme. Funded by the Premier League, through the Premier League Charitable Fund, the programme uses the appeal of football to help children to be active and develop essential life skills.
