It’s been a season of unforgettable moments, and over the weekend, our young players proved once again what belief and teamwork can achieve. 3 teams were crowned champions on our annual tour to Holland, and for them it’s been about much more than just football — it’s been about making memories with their teammates and coaches.
Our girls U15s wrapped up their season with a dominant 4-0 win in the final, following a hard-fought 1-0 victory in Game 3. Making this the teams 3rd piece of silverware this season after winning the Junior Premier League plate and the league title.
Meanwhile, our girls U13s brought it home in style, securing the trophy and celebrating as CHAMPIONS.
And if that wasn’t enough, our U11 boys capped off an unforgettable tour by winning the Conference League — an incredible achievement for such a young group of players.
The Holland experience began on Friday with a training session with the amazing Vitesse Academy, where our
young players trained under the guidance of elite coaches. It was a great experience for the players to be coached by different individuals during the tour.
That afternoon, all teams visited the legendary PSV Eindhoven stadium — a tour that gave our players lasting memories. For many of our players, it was their first time inside a stadium of that scale.
At Pompey in the Community, we use football is a tool to engage the people of Portsmouth, not just for sport, but for personal development, confidence, and community. We want to help our young people to feel inspired and motivated by the experiences we offer, this weekend it was by lifting a trophy or stepping into a football stadium.
We’re incredibly grateful to Harnesses.com and AT Plumbing and Heating for their generous support. Without you, these opportunities wouldn’t be possible. You’re not just sponsors — you’re part of these kids’ journeys!
