We are incredibly grateful to Wightlink for their generous support in providing free travel passes for more than 10 of our Pompey in the Community JPL and BTEC players.

For many young people, having reliable travel makes a huge difference to how easily they can take part in activities. These free passes ensure every player can get to training, matches, and education sessions with confidence, helping them stay fully involved in their development both on and off the pitch.

Our JPL and BTEC pathways are designed to help young people grow in confidence, discipline, teamwork, and essential life skills. Thanks to Wightlink’s support, participation is made even more accessible, ensuring opportunities are shaped by passion and commitment rather than practical challenges.

This partnership is already having a meaningful impact, boosting attendance, easing pressure on families, and allowing students to focus on enjoying the game, developing their abilities, and reaching their potential.

On behalf of everyone at Pompey in the Community, our players, families, and staff, thank you, Wightlink, for helping us keep football inclusive, supportive, and open to all.

Together, we are making sure every young person has the chance to play.
