After another great season, the Pompey in the Community BTEC teams took on America in their latest international tour.
Our girls team played against teams like Orlando City Soccer and Florida Flames, whilst our boys reached the semi-finals of their tournament, representing Pompey in the Community with pride.
Off the pitch, the teams soaked in the experience with a visit to Southeastern University and some well-earned downtime at the Island H2O Waterpark.
A massive thank you to our sponsors, Safevue CCTV, who generously sponsored backpacks for all the students, and Hikvision, whose continued support alongside Safevue CCTV and The Silkworth Project helps make this programme possible.
Pompey in the Community’s BTEC Sport programme is a two-year course offering a football-focused alternative to college. It’s designed for footballers aged 16-18 to continue their academic studies whilst training and competing in a professional football environment.
