Nine-year-old Pompey fan Vincent was given a special thank you this week after continuing to support Pompey in the Community through his incredible sunflower fundraiser.
Back in April, we shared the story of Vincent, whose determination to help others had already seen him raise £250 to support Terence taking part in the Pompey Sleepout.
Since then, Vincent hasn’t stopped.
Through selling his handmade sunflower vases, Vincent has raised a further £150, with every penny going towards helping Pompey in the Community continue its work supporting local people.
Yesterday, Vincent visited us to collect a very special thank you for all his hard work, a signed Pompey football.
It was a brilliant opportunity to welcome Vincent in, celebrate everything he has achieved and show him just how much his efforts are appreciated.
Vincent’s fundraising journey began when he donated his own pocket money during bucket collections at Fratton Park. Inspired to do more, he turned his kindness into a fundraiser, creating his beautiful sunflower vases and encouraging others to support a cause close to his heart.
When we previously asked Vincent why he wanted to help, his answer summed up his attitude perfectly:
“Terence makes me want to be kind when I see him being kind.”
Those words have stayed with us, and Vincent has continued to put them into action.
His fundraising is a wonderful example of how one person’s kindness can inspire others and make a real difference in the local community.
A huge thank you to Vincent, his family and everyone who has supported his fundraising so far. 🌻
Well done, Vincent! Enjoy your signed football!
