Kick It Out is English football’s equality and inclusion organisation. Working throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change.   Kick It Out is at the heart of the fight against discrimination for everyone who plays, watches or works in football.

Starting as a small independent charity, the ‘Let’s Kick Racism Out of Football’ campaign was established in 1993 in response to widespread calls from clubs, players and fans to tackle racist attitudes existing within the game. Kick It Out was then established as a body in 1997 as it widened out its objectives to cover all aspects of discrimination, inequality and exclusion.

The #TakeAStand campaign is a call to action initiative, encouraging people across the football community to take an action or make a pledge, in the fight against discrimination. Ahead of tonight’s game, the Pompey players will be warming up in Kick It Out t-shirts to highlight the campaign.  If you see, hear, or experience abuse at a football match whether it’s a professional game or a grassroots game, you can report it to Kick It Out through their app.

If you are at Fratton Park you can text 07500 77 88 44 with details.

(This is a Fratton Park text only service.)

It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that discrimination, inequality and exclusion are a thing of the past and that football at all levels is accessible, inclusive and a safe environment for all concerned.

Portsmouth FC, Portsmouth FC Women and Pompey in the Community are all backing the Kick It Out #TakeAStand campaign and will continue to strive for positive change.  If you would like to discuss any of these issues further, please contact: [email protected]
